Sport utility vehicles (SUVs):
A sport utility vehicle (SUV) combines elements of road going passenger cars with features from off-road vehicles, like raised ground clearance and 4-wheel drive. Usage of the term varies between countries, as there is no generalized definition of SUV. SUVs can drive on tougher terrains and designed to seat 5 to 7 individuals, with room to carry more luggage at the back.
Asian utility vehicles (AUVs):
Asian Utility Vehicles (AUVs) are made and sold for the Asian market. These were first seen in Asian roads around the late 60’s and 70’s. They can be driven in both city roads and highway. They are sold cheap and they are not as rugged as an SUV. Although the body design is close to that of an SUV, but the dimensions are smaller and simpler exterior designs. Examples include, Isuzu Crosswind, Mitsubishi Adventure, and Toyota Tamaraw.

Cons of SUV Cars:
Usually costlier than a conventional car. Also the cost of maintenance is higher than the standard car due to a higher fuel consumption.
Several SUVs are very unsafe especially in Nigeria where there are no speed limits. Higher speed of gravity causes a high tendency to rollover.
Difficult for Children:
It may be difficult to step into and out of SUVs especially for children and the elderly.
